A few days ago, Xiangtan Industrial Group was informed that, after discussion, the site selection of sepiolite Science and Technology Industrial Park, planning, positioning, industrial development direction and other issues have been settled. The total investment of the industrial park is one billion Yuan RMB, which is strive to start construction by the end of this year. Within five years, the total output value will be two billion Yuan RMB. The tax revenue will reach 400 million Yuan RMB. And 5,000 people will be employed.

Sepiolite Science and Technology Industrial Park is located inside of Xiangtan Tianyi demonstration zone new material industrial park. The total planned land area is about 1500 acres. Phase one project covers an area of about 300 to 500 acres. The nature of site is industrial land. The construction of the park includes sepiolite Engineering Research Center, Experimental Center and Testing Center, mainly for sepiolite intensive processing, researching and developing high value-added sepiolite products, establishing sepiolite quality and test standard and carrying out the sepiolite associated projects. The construction of phase one project is focused on 8 subjects, sepiolite soil treatment agent, sepiolite materials for controlling farmland polluted by cadmium, removal of sepiolite purification production line, ceramsite for sewage treatment, sepiolite removing aldehyde powder for plywood, sepiolite environmental protection coating, sepiolite air purifying material and sepiolite environmental protection plywood.
