Projects for the elimination of accumulated environmental damage in Russia
The document includes 27 projects in 16 regions of Russia, including three protected areas of federal significance.
The Ministry already has a similar experience of implementing pilot projects to repair the damage in the territory of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, the Baikal natural territory in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The amount of funding for cleaning the "environmental hot spots" from the territory of Russia from the federal budget in 2014 was 2.9 bln. Rubles.
Among the projects:
• A pilot project "Rehabilitation of Avacha Bay" (Kamchatka Krai)
• waste management Belovo Zinc Plant (Kemerovo region)
• reclamation of tailings "Tuvakobalt" (Tuva)
• disposal of waste at the site of "Phosphorus" (Samara region)
• closure and reclamation of municipal landfills and the city of Naberezhnye Chelny in Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan)
• Programme on the Elimination of accumulated environmental damage in the territory of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol
• closure and remediation of landfills in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
