The working principle is based on the principle of applying pressure between the movable and fixed jaw plates to crush materials. Materials enter the crushing chamber through the feed inlet, where the periodic movement of the jaw plates results in the compression and breaking of the materials. As the jaw plate moves downwards, the materials are compressed, and upon the upward movement, they are released and discharged from the crushing chamber. This cyclical motion continuously crushes the materials, ultimately producing the desired particle size and crushed material.

Impact crusher usually is used as secondary crusher, but there is two chamber impact crusher which has big feeding size can be also used as primary crusher, but it is suitable for the medium hardness material primary crushing.
